$72,862-98,363 Annually

Position Description:
Under the direction of the Nutrition Services Manager, the incumbent oversees all food service activities of the Nutrition Services Department. May participate and provide supervision in other areas of the nutrition services department as required or assigned. Ensures a professional level of food and nutrition services for all hospital patients, guests and staff. Ensures staff is trained in preparation and presentation of food and new cooking techniques. Ensures and maintains cleanliness, hygiene, and safety throughout the kitchen. Participates in menu planning and recipe development. Responsible for ensuring recipes are accurately managed in Computrition. Ensures all food products served meet the minimum standards set forth for the department. Assures evaluations are completed in a timely manner. Plans and oversees catering events as directed by the Nutrition Services Manager. Incumbent may be responsible for scheduling, processing employee time-off requests, and time card approval. Is involved in the hiring and disciplinary process as needed. Participates in maintenance of policies and procedures in the department. If incumbent holds RDN credentials, may assist with overseeing clinical nutrition within the hospital.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. Strong nutrition background required. Experience in the food service or hospitality sector required.
Desired Qualifications:
RDN preferred; experience as a clinical dietitian preferred. BSN in Food Science, Nutrition, or Dietetics strongly preferred.
