To kick off September’s Hunger Action Month, Oregon Food Bank will hold its first-ever offsite food repackaging event in “Portland’s Living Room” – Pioneer Courthouse Square – on September 3 from noon to 1 p.m.

During the event, more than 50 volunteers – including community members, elected officials, business supporters and OFB staff – will label and repack more than 13,500 pounds of boxed soup, donated by Pacific Foods. The soup will be distributed to OFB partner agencies and food pantries throughout Oregon and Clark County, Wash. The Pioneer Courthouse Square event is designed to raise awareness of OFB’s important work and encourage our community to join the fight against hunger.
